JA’s Guide to Uber at the Rio Airport

Finding the Uber pickup area in the Galeão International Airport (GIG) in Rio can be tricky, so we’ve created this visual guide to help you find your ride:

After you clear customs in Terminal 2 Arrivals, walk straight to the exit at the end of the building.
Follow the signs for “Zona Uber / App de Transporte” and walk all the way across to the other side until you see the big UBER sign
If you’ve booked an Uber, ignore the taxi drivers and coordinators who will offer you a ride. Just keep walking.

Important note: When you book your ride in the app, choose Zona Uber / Desembarque (Terminal 2) as your pickup point.

GLC Virtual 2025

Around the world, JA is committed to offering growth and educational opportunities for staff. That’s why, every two years, JA Worldwide hosts our Global Leadership Conference (GLC) for all JA staff, no matter where they are in the world.

Originally an in-person conference for JA leadership, GLC went virtual in 2021 and opened up to staff at every level of the organization. Although the in-person edition of GLC returned in 2023, we remained committed to staff development at every level and decided to continue hosting the virtual edition. That new tradition will continue in 2025 . . . with a few new features.

JA staff members know GLC Virtual is a one-stop-shop to connect with like-minded colleagues and engage in opportunities for growth and connection. In addition to the functional training sessions JA staff have come to know and love from GLC Virtual, the 2025 event included three special sessions for JA volunteers, teachers, and board members.
