Carolyn Bassett, Vice President, Global Development, JA Worldwide
Carolyn has served JA for 20 years, beginning with JA in Boston as a Program Manager. For six years, she served in a variety of capacities, providing leadership to the Education Group and Operations. In 2003, she developed and launched JA Academy, a local after-school program serving high school students onsite at area colleges and universities.
In 2005, Carolyn moved to Colorado Springs, joining JA Worldwide as Director, Afterschool Programs for the JA Afterschool Initiative. In 2007, Carolyn became Senior Director of Program Support and Student Competitions, expanding JA Global Competitions while supporting implementation strategies and emerging market needs for JA offices globally.
Carolyn returned to Boston with the relocation of JA Worldwide in 2012, joining the Global Development team while overseeing corporate partnerships focused on STEM, financial capability, global access, volunteer engagement, and women’s empowerment.
