Global Recognition for the World’s Best Schools

January 18, 2022

Have you heard about the World’s Best School Prizes? Created by T4 Education, the organization bringing us the Teacher Tech Summit 2022, the World’s Best School Prizes recognizes five schools around the world for Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Adversity, and Supporting Healthy Lives. In addition to being named one of the World’s Best Schools, the five winners will share in a US$250,000 cash prize. Winners have developed trailblazing practices, processes, and pedagogy schoolwide, and they have demonstrated commitment to excellence; qualitative and quantitative evidence that supports the growth, steps taken, and future goals; and the impact on the experience and life chances of their students.

  • The Community Collaboration prize recognizes schools that have collaborated and developed partnerships with their community to have an integrated approach in helping each of their students strive for a whole-child approach based on equity and inclusivity.

  • The Environmental Action prize recognizes the importance of youth, students, and schools in climate action and who engage with solutions for global warming and climate crisis.

  • The Innovation prize recognizes “leapfrog” innovation in schools that help improve access, quality, and relevance, especially for the most marginalized children, all at the same time.

  • The Overcoming Adversity prize recognizes that, while living in an increasingly uncertain world, schools must support and develop children in the kinds of socio-emotional skills that can support their personal growth and the school as a community.

  • The Supporting Healthy Lives prize recognizes schools that provide access, relevance, and opportunities for students, staff, and the community to develop healthy habits, behaviors, knowledge, and skills.
