JA USA Celebrates Financial Literacy Month in a Big Way

April 30, 2018

April, Financial Literacy Month in the United States, was quite a month for JA USA. First, check out the release of the 2018 JA Teens & Personal Finance Survey, which was presented with the support of AIG. The survey found that 95 percent of teens find school-based personal finance-education programs valuable. In addition, JA USA’s impact-evaluation work was highlighted by the Financial Service Roundtable’s “Measuring for Success: The Impact of Financial Literacy” conference, held last week.

And—perhaps most exciting of all—JA USA was named “Organization of the Year” by the Institute for Financial Literacy, and JA was recognized for the efforts put into the redevelopment of JA More Than Money, JA Personal Finance–Blended, and JA It’s My Future–Blended. HSBC, one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world, sponsored the redevelopment of JA More Than Money and made this award possible.

JA USA won't be slowing down in May, either. With National Decision Day and high-school graduations on the horizon, keep an eye out for the first JA Teens & College Savings Survey, supported by Citizens Bank.
