GLC Week 2 Brings Over 1,000 JA Staff Members Together (Virtually)

November 12, 2021

That’s a wrap on the second week of the Global Leadership Conference 2021, a biennial event exclusively for JA staff. Though in years past the event has been held in person and attendance largely consisted of executive staff, the 2021 event is virtual and has so far brought together more than 1,000 JA staff in all positions around the world.

Under the theme Reunite, Recharge, and Reimagine, staff members were treated to days spotlighting JA Asia Pacific and JA Americas in Week 2, which included a showcase of the JA Asia Pacific Company of the Year competition finals on Tuesday. Staff Recharged with virtual yoga and bootcamp classes to cap off days full of best practices from JA Vietnam, JA Canada, JA Mexico, JA Peru, and more; deep dives into resources from JA Worldwide available to the network; and inspirational keynotes from JA University Chief Chancellor David Meltzer and JA America Board member Maren Lau of Meta, among others. Finally, everyone reunited to celebrate the JA Service Awards, a ceremony honoring JA staff who have worked with the organization for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 years.

We can’t wait to share what Week 3 has in store!
