JA Americas President Leo Martellotto Named JA Worldwide Chief Development Officer

We are pleased to announce that Leo Martellotto, who has served as JA Americas President for the last ten years, has been appointed Chief Development Officer at JA Worldwide. Leo started his journey with JA at age 17, when he was a student of the JA Company Program in Cordoba, Argentina. During the next 25 years, Leo served as JA Cordoba Development Director, JA Cordoba Executive Director, JA Americas Operations Director, and JA Americas President.

Leo’s vision and passion for excellence have enabled JA Americas to reach more than 1 million students each year, working with 30,000+ volunteers and 2,000+ companies to support our mission. The JA Americas regional operating center has grown from 3 to 28 staff members, serving 25 countries. Under Leo’s leadership, two region-wide strategic plans were developed and implemented.

Leo graduated from the National University of Córdoba, recently completed the Harvard Business School Program for Leadership Development, and was honored in 2019 as a member of Ferd's List, which recognizes outstanding JA alumni around the world. His commitment and leadership will add tremendous value to the JA global network, enabling JA Worldwide to secure new partnerships and collaborate throughout the network to help young people development the mindset and skillset to build thriving communities.

Passionate about family and sports, Leo has participated in countless triathlons and endurance events around the world, qualifying for four Ironman 70.3 World Championships. He and his family make their home in Cordoba, Argentina.

Leo will continue serving in his current role at JA Americas until July 2023, when the transition to a new president is expected.
