JA Students Compete at the Third FedEx Junior Business Challenge in Conjunction with the PGA TOUR

Yesterday, at the Travelers Championship just outside of Hartford, Connecticut, USA, students from JA of Southwest New England shared their business ideas at the FedEx Junior Business Challenge. Three teams competed to the chance to advance to the FedEx Junior Business Challenge Finals at the TOUR Championship in Atlanta, where the winning team will receive $75,000 from FedEx for their JA area office. (Find out more about the FedEx Junior Business Challenge, featured this morning in Forbes.)

Emceeing the event was PGA TOUR Host Teryn Schaefer, and our top-notch judging panel included PGA TOUR Pro Geoff Ogilvy; Oz Griebel, President & CEO of MetroHartford Alliance; Manasi Gangan, founder and President of Nested Bean Inc.; and Lorenzo Hall, anchor and reporter at FOX 61, shown above at a pre-event meeting. Here's a peek at what the panel was looking for, as each team presented:

Special thanks to FedEx, JA of Southwest New England, the PGA TOUR, Weber Shandwick, and all our judges and competitors. Stay tuned for the fourth FedEx Junior Business Challenge on Wednesday, August 2, at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio, USA.
