JA Participates in WEF Jobs Reset Summit

October 20–October 23, 2020

The World Economic Forum (WEF) convenes stakeholders from all over the world to discuss the biggest problems we face. The Jobs Reset Summit, happening now (October 20–23, 2020) is one example. Given JA’s focus on preparing youth for full and productive employment or entrepreneurship, JA is participating in this week’s summit in four ways.

  • Yesterday, Jonas Prising, the CEO of ManpowerGroup and JA Worldwide’s Board Vice-Chair, predicted a two-speeds jobs recovery. Watch it below:

  • Thursday at 9amET, Asheesh will join the “Transforming Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning” panel. Other panelists include Salil S. Parekh, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Infosys, India, and International Business Council; Mohammad Ibrahim Shtayyeh, Prime Minister of the Palestinian National Authority; Alain Dehaze, Chief Executive Officer, Adecco Group, Switzerland; Marieme Eve Jamme, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, iamtheCODE, United Kingdom, and Young Global Leader; Hadi Partovi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Code.org, USA.   • Thursday at 11amET, Asheesh has been invited to the "Reimagining Schooling" panel to discuss how public and private sectors can collaborate to reset education content, rethink how that content is delivered, and build a more inclusive, job market-aligned education system.
