JA and Z Zurich Foundation Discuss Peace at One Young World 2024

During One Young World’s annual summit—and on International Day of Peace—JA Worldwide and JA of New Mexico joined a discussion with the Chair of Z Zurich Foundation to discuss the critical connection between economic prosperity and peace in front of a global community of young entrepreneurs and leaders.

Gary Shaughnessy, Chair of Z Zurich Foundation, led the discussion with our CEO, Asheesh Advani, and Miriam McIntosh of Junior Achievement New Mexico.

Asheesh closed the discussion with this insight:

“When I was your age, I was wondering what what I could do in the world. And I remember a speaker telling me that if I could create economic agency for five other people, I would achieve some degree of success and pay-it-forward in my life. I was so inspired when everyone held up the phone for one of the previous speakers, to indicate the light that you can bring into the world. I ask you all to hold up five fingers, raise your hand with five, and think of yourself as somebody who can be an economic agent of change—not just for yourself, but for five other people.”
