INJAZ YEC 2020 Finals

INJAZ Al-Arab JA MENA’s Young Entrepreneurship Celebration (YEC) looks a little different this year, and not just because it’s virtual. Kicking off on November 1 with the announcement of the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem, with workshops and seminars held virtually in the following weeks, the YEC finals are being held on December 8 and 9 for the eight high school and 13 university student companies.

Meet the high school teams:

Bahrain – Sahim is a subscription-based mobile application that connects different social NGOs with potential donors on one platform.

Egypt – Voss Tecnologies sells high-tech pet products to simplify owners’ lives.

Kuwait – Playstic developed an interactive and entertaining game that aims to reduce obesity rates in children and reduce pollutants that harm the environment.

Morocco – AjiNtbadlu is a platform through which users can buy, sell, and exchange new and used books.

Oman – Shatla created an online marketplace platform that links agricultural product suppliers with customers.

Palestine – Bee Friends uses recycled beeswax from Palestinian apiaries to produce healthy food packaging.

Qatar – Hands-On produces storybooks and soft toys with audio, visual, and tactile features to create a multisensory and immersive learning experience for children with developmental disorders, learning difficulties, and visual impairments.

Saudi Arabia – Kaw’wen designs useful and innovative products made through 3D printing.

Meet the university teams:

Algeria – Drops&Hands created an innovative contactless disinfecting system for hands and objects.

Bahrain – Al Malga hosts a web-based platform that includes a business transactions market and a job search market.

Kuwait – Sayarti is an application facilitates booking appointments for car services, including garages, tow trucks, car washes, rim installation, auto body protection, light installation, speakers and screens installation, tire services, key and lock services, and window tinting.

Lebanon – ToRead is an online educational platform that fills the gap between students and universities and/or scholarship organizations.

Morocco – Sicom created Pass, a system that enables automation of garage gates with an antenna based on an RFID reader.

Oman – Nafta develops natural products to create a healthy and safe environment and advance the national economy and food security.

Palestine – Athar develops advanced sterilizing systems, targeting health, education, manufacturing, industrial, and service fields.

Qatar – Tailory is an application that provides any type of tailoring service to customers at home, from small alterations to custom-made clothing.

Saudi Arabia – OWC provides innovative products that improve the environment, including a solar-powered product that sterilizes and cleanses the air inside a car.

Tunisia – Ija Ndhayfek created a platform that gathers opportunities from all over the country for those who thrive to explore, connect, and seek unique experiences.

UAE – Sharara is a design management studio that offers companies and government organizations access to a talent pool of university students to help them solve their most pressing innovation challenges.

Yemen – Color Me provides laundry and fabric dying services in Sana’a.
