FERD's List 2020 Virtual Celebration
November 12, 2020
JA Europe celebrated the 2020 FERD’s List honorees a bit differently this year than in years past. In 2019, FERD’s List welcomed honorees from outside Europe for the first time, presenting and celebrating at the first-ever JA Global Alumni Conference in Vienna. Like many other events in 2020, JA Europe and FERD were forced to pivot and find another way to celebrate this year’s honorees in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Rather than an in-person celebration at the JA Alumni Europe Conference, JA Europe and FERD held a series of virtual discussions with honorees past and present.
FERD’s List is an initiative of JA Europe to recognize inspirational young entrepreneurs and leaders who are, in the words of FERD Chairman Johan Andresen inspirational innovators “creating value and leaving lasting footprints”. They are connected because they have all participated in a JA practical entrepreneurial experience at school.
FERD’s List announced its 2020 honorees on September 18, 2020. Each honoree has participated in a JA program or experience and has achieved something outstanding in his or her life. Each between the ages of 25 and 45, honorees are selected according to their achievements and the pathways they are on. FERD’s List particularly recognizes that these individuals are in a moment of life where their potential is being transformed into greater value for society.
