FedEx and JA Team Up for the FedEx Junior Business Challenge in Conjunction with the PGA

FedEx just announced a unique extension of the JA Company Program for JA students at five PGA TOUR cities in the United States, as part of the FedEx Cares global-giving initiative. Since 1996, FedEx has donated more than $13 million to JA Worldwide in support of small business and the entrepreneurs of tomorrow, and the FedEx Junior Business Challenge gives JA students another opportunity to hone their business skills. At each event, JA students ranging from 14 to 18 years old will pitch their team’s business concept to a panel of judges consisting of a PGA TOUR player and a variety of successful business leaders. The five U.S. cities slated for this year’s initiative include Houston, Texas (March 29); Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida (May 10); Hartford, Connecticut (June 21); Akron, Ohio (August 2); and Atlanta, Georgia (late August). Each city’s winning student company will advance to the final round of the challenge this September at the PGA TOUR Championship in Atlanta.
