100 Lives: JA Alumnus Invents Environmentally Sustainable Resin

Thanks to FedEx, we traveled to Jamaica to meet Nicholas Kee, who started Plastato as a JA student in Kingston. Nicholas created an organic, biodegradable resin made from potatoes, and then designed and created jewelry with his resin. His company won the FedEx Access Award at the JA America Company of the Year, which brought attention to his company and country, and gave him the courage to network and seek more business opportunities. Watch Nicholas’s journey.
