Jonathan G. Isaacson, The Gem Group, Inc.

Jonathan G. Isaacson is the Chairman and CEO of The Gem Group, Inc., a privately held, multiple award-winning supplier of bags, business accessories, stationery, and gifts to the promotional products market. The company, going to market under the trade name Gemline, has been recognized as one of the 15 largest companies in the promotional industry. Its primary operation is located in Lawrence, Massachusetts, with a technical facility in Shenzhen, China.

Mr. Isaacson is also the vice-chair of the Board of Trustees of the Lawrence General Hospital, where he sits on several committees and chairs Governance. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Lawrence Partnership, the Advisory Board of the Department of Industrial and Operational Engineering at the University of Michigan School of Engineering, the Board of Overseers at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital, and the Parent Leadership Council at Harvey Mudd College.

Mr. Isaacson has served on the Board of the Young Presidents’ Organization of New England as day chair, membership chair, education chair, and chapter chair. He has also served on the Advisory Board of pet product distributor PetEdge, the Strategic Planning Committee of the Promotional Products Association, and the PPAI Product Responsibility Action Group. In 2008, he was named Counselor Magazine’s International Person of the Year.

Jonathan Isaacson was raised in Marblehead, Massachusetts, and graduated with a degree in political science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He currently lives in Massachusetts with his wife, Shelley, and has three children.
